New car market in Belgium collapses
Following the ban on diesel and petrol cars in the near future in Brussels and the announcement by the federal government that they would no longer want cars with combustion engines (but also the very recent statement by the Flemish government that from 2029 only new 100% electric models will be allowed on the streets), consumers no longer know what to choose and prefer to postpone or even cancel the purchase of a new car. This leads, on the one hand, to a collapse in the market for new cars and, on the other hand, to an increase in the prices of used cars.
